  1. Update on Syslogd 2.0 status:

  3. New features already implemented:
  4. -Full support for Facilities.
  5. -AppleScript support. (This was retro-fitted onto the 1.0 base, so it could be made available sooner.)
  6. -Complete redesign of the Preferences Editor GUI. (Now called Syslogd Admin and located in the Control Panels folder.)

  8. Planned Features: (In descending order of priority.)
  9. -Listen for Network syslog messages (started).
  10. -Log Archiving (started).
  11. -Handle multiple messages in the same manner as the UNIX version.
  12. -The ability to log to a remote host.
  13. -Trap AEQuit from Finder only, and log that we received it. This can help with crash detection.
